Frozen Fresh

There is always a big debate when sending meat whether to send it fresh or frozen? In the past frozen was considered inferior as it would degrade the quality, get freezer burn etc.

But with modern techniques such as vacuum sealing, where all the air is extracted leaving the meat sealed in an air tight bag provides better opportunity. Meat sealed in a vacuum bag which is then frozen fresh will stay as fresh as the day you sealed it for over two years. Now we operate a strict rotation system and our venison is sent out within a few weeks. There are seasonal cuts and with species such as Fallow which are out of season for 4 months, we use freezing fresh as a technique to offer all year round. It also travels better and when ordering a box, it is unlikely that you will eat all of it straight away and put most of it in the freezer.

If however you specifically want a fresh box please let us know and we will be happy to supply unfrozen for you.

Sustainable Packaging

In a world where we seem to use more and more packaging we felt it necessary to ensure that we are being as conscious of the environment as possible.

Our outer boxes are strong to withstand the rigours of standard delivery networks and we use recycled cardboard. The main insulation used is ‘wool cool’ and this is an eco insulation using wool…..yes wool!! Its wrapped in a biodegradable bag as well and will keep your parcel frozen for up to 48 hours ensuring it arrives with you in the condition that we sent it. Not only that you can use it. You can line your hanging baskets, use it in the garden or if you have n use it can go in the compost.

Overnight Delivery

We work with a quality shipping company and our standard shipping days are Monday to Thursday for delivery to your door next day. We can arrange delivery to your home, leave in a safe place or deliver to your work.

Simply request your preferred dispatch day however, please allow for 24 hours to process your order. If you require an urgent order we can accommodate but request you phone us prior to ordering to check. Saturday deliveries are available however, a premium is charged at £25.00 and we cannot deliver on a Monday.

You may also collect from our collection points in Newbury (RG14 5SS), Cirencester (GL7 7LG) or our Ramsbury HQ (SN8 2NN) however please allow 48 Hours for us to prepare your order. You will be contacted to arrange a collection day and time.
